RCB's Rasikh Salam Looks Forward To Learning From Bhuvneshwar Kumar In IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Rasikh Salam is eagerly anticipating the IPL 2025, even though it is still over three months away. The Jammu and Kashmir pacer was acquired by RCB for an impressive Rs 6 crore, making him the most expensive uncapped player in the auction.
Rasikh had a remarkable season with Delhi Capitals last year, which increased his demand during the auction. Ultimately, Bengaluru secured him. As the new season nears, Rasikh is thrilled to play alongside Virat Kohli and share the dressing room with India's pace star Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The 24-year-old expressed his admiration for Bhuvneshwar Kumar in an exclusive chat with MyKhel. He aims to learn as much as possible from the veteran bowler. "Among the Indian bowlers, I like Shami [Mohammed Shami] bhai, Bhuvi [Bhuvaneshwar Kumar] bhai. I love him [Bhuvneshwar] a lot, I am a similar kind of bowler to Bhuvi bhai, he's in RCB now, I will try to get [learn] as much as possible from him," Rasikh shared.
While Shami and Bhuvneshwar are his favourite Indian pacers, former South African star Dale Steyn remains Rasikh's all-time favourite bowler. Additionally, he expressed gratitude towards Delhi Capitals' management for their support last season.
Despite some initial struggles with Delhi Capitals, Rasikh appreciated their faith in him. "I didn't do well in my first two matches for Delhi, but the management and captain backed me. When someone trusts you, it boosts your confidence, and that's what happened. I practiced hard for the death overs and new-ball spells, and it paid off," he explained.
The backing from Delhi Capitals helped Rasikh improve his performance significantly. This support allowed him to focus on honing his skills in both death overs and new-ball spells.
As IPL 2025 approaches, Rasikh Salam is not only excited about playing with cricket legends but also eager to continue learning and growing as a player under their guidance.
