Rachin Ravindra gained significant attention for his outstanding batting in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. He emerged as New Zealand's top run-scorer, amassing 578 runs in 10 matches with an average of 64.22, including three centuries and two fifties.

Despite his stellar World Cup performance, Ravindra's stint with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024 did not meet expectations. He managed only 222 runs in 10 games, averaging 22.2, which was far below the anticipated impact.

Devon Conway, CSK's key opener who missed IPL 2024 due to a thumb injury, is expected to return next season. Conway has been a consistent performer, scoring 924 runs in 23 matches with nine fifties. His return will likely secure the opening spot alongside captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.
