South Africa's Quinton de Kock equalled the record for the fastest fifty in the T20 World Cup 2024 during his team's Super 8 match against England. The match took place at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia, on Friday, June 21.

De Kock's 22-ball fifty matched the record set by USA's Aaron Jones. Jones achieved his milestone against Canada during the group stage of the tournament. Both players now share the record for the quickest half-century in this year's competition.

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis holds the third spot on the list. He scored a fifty off 25 balls in Australia's match against Scotland. Stoinis' 29-ball 59-run innings was crucial in helping Australia chase down a target of 181, securing England's place in the Super 8 stage.

Scotland's Brandon McMullen also features prominently, having hit a 26-ball fifty in the same match against Australia. De Kock appears twice in the top five fastest fifties list for this tournament. He previously scored a 26-ball fifty in South Africa's Super 8 opener against the USA.
