PBKS IPL 2025 Full Squad: The Punjab Kings (PBKS) entered the 2025 IPL auction with the largest budget, making significant signings on the first day.

The Punjab Kings have had a challenging journey in the IPL since its start in 2008. Despite having strong teams, they have not yet won the tournament. Their best performance was in 2014 when they reached the final but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. Over time, inconsistency in player retention and leadership has hindered their success. As they head into 2025, they aim to change this under Ponting's leadership.

They began by reacquiring Arshdeep Singh for Rs 18 crore using the RTM card. However, their most notable signing was Shreyas Iyer for an impressive Rs 26.75 crore.

PBKS will enter the second day of the IPL 2025 mega auction with a remaining budget of Rs 23.50 crore. They still need six overseas players and have three RTM cards left.

Shashank Singh, a talented all-rounder, has been retained alongside Prabhsimran Singh. With only two retentions, Punjab enters the auction with the fewest players currently.

After securing Arshdeep Singh for Rs 18 crore, PBKS continued their spending spree by acquiring Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore, making him the second most expensive player in IPL history.

Their third acquisition was Yuzvendra Chahal, who joined PBKS for Rs 18 crore as an India spinner. Glenn Maxwell also returned to PBKS for Rs 4.2 crore.

Karnataka Vyshak Vijaykumar and former LSG pacer Yash Thakur were also added to their squad.

Kerala wicketkeeper Vishnu Vinod is another smart pick while Harpreet Brar and Nehal Wadhera were two excellent uncapped signings.
