T20 World Cup: PCB Chief Delays Pakistan Squad Announcement Due To Selection Dispute
Pakistan cricket has encountered another episode of internal drama as PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi halted the announcement of the squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. The decision was made to express his dissatisfaction with the Wahab Riaz-led selection panel.
According to reports from Pakistani media, Naqvi's discontent stems not from the players chosen but from the lack of proper meetings held by the selectors. He has also voiced concerns about not being informed of the details of these meetings.

Naqvi has taken further steps by writing a letter to the selection committee members, seeking clarification on the matter. The announcement of Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad will be delayed until the selection committee completes its process.
The reports indicate that this process is expected to be completed within three hours, after which the squad will be announced. The deadline for all teams to announce their squads is May 25, and any changes post-deadline will require approval from the ICC's Event Technical Committee.
