Pat Cummins Admits Bowling To Abhishek Sharma Is Daunting In IPL Clash
SRH vs PBKS IPL 2024 Match 70: Pat Cummins' Sunrisers Hyderabad and Jitesh Sharma's Punjab Kings will face off in their final league stage match of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, May 19.
The match holds little significance for Punjab Kings, who are already out of the playoffs race after losing eight of their 13 games. Sunrisers Hyderabad, however, have qualified for the playoffs and aim to secure a win to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four.

SRH currently occupy the third spot with seven wins in 13 games. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals are ahead of them in the points table. The two teams first met this season on April 9, with SRH narrowly defeating PBKS by two runs.
"We are in Hyderabad and once more we are on pitch number 2 where 277 was scored. It has its own stardom. Boundary dimensions - there's some good news for the bowlers as it is the centre pitch, 60-odd meters on either side and a pitch that the spinners won't mind bowling. It feels like walking into a clay oven today," Matthew Hayden and Sanjay Manjrekar said ahead of the SRH vs LSG game - the last match played at the venue. The following match between SRH and GT on May 16 was abandoned due to rain. The pitches have been under the covers, and this should further help the pacers.
"Extremely hard, really dry and you can feel the heat, still hot to touch. It has opened up tiny little cracks. I would be surprised if it is a record breaking total type this evening. It is probably a 200 wicket, very fast outfield and not a lot of dew. The fast bowlers will use their cutters especially in the middle phase of the match. I believe whoever wins the toss would look to set the total."
In the match, LSG scored 165/4 after opting to bat first. Pacers picked three wickets. Krunal Pandya got run out. In reply, SRH chased down the target in just 9.4 overs without losing any wicket.
The average score in the last five T20s is 203. Teams winning the toss have opted to bowl first 55 percent of the time in the last five years.
Cloudy but chances of rain are really low in Hyderabad on Sunday, May 19. It will be 'mostly sunny' as per Accuweather until 6 PM IST. The website has predicted zero percent precipitation level from 7 PM IST to 11 PM IST. With a humidity level of 70-80 percent, the temperature will hover around 30-32 degrees Celsius. The wind speed at the venue will be close to 10 km/h.
