Karachi Test Between Pakistan And Bangladesh To Proceed Without Spectators
Bad news awaits Pakistan cricket fans in Karachi planning to watch the Test match against Bangladesh. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided that the second Test, scheduled in Karachi, will be played without any spectators.
Bangladesh is set to play a two-match Test series in Pakistan starting from August 21. The first Test will take place in Rawalpindi, while the second match is scheduled for Karachi from August 30. However, the PCB has announced that no spectators will be allowed for the Karachi Test.

The PCB revealed on Wednesday (August 14) that the decision to play the Karachi match behind closed doors is due to ongoing renovations at the stadium in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.
"In light of ongoing construction work at the National Bank Stadium as part of preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made the difficult decision to hold the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, scheduled from 30 August to 3 September, without spectators in attendance," a statement from PCB read.
Fans to get Full Refund for Tickets
The PCB also stated that this decision prioritises fan safety. They confirmed that fans who have already purchased tickets will receive a full refund soon.
"As a result of this decision, ticket sales have been suspended with immediate effect. Fans who have already purchased tickets will receive a full refund automatically, with the amount credited to the account details provided at the time of purchase," added the statement.
