Pakistan Clinches T20I Series With Dominant 10-Wicket Victory Against Zimbabwe

Pakistan secured a dominant 10-wicket win against Zimbabwe in the second T20I at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. This victory clinched the series 2-0, with one match remaining on December 3.

Zimbabwe's decision to bat first backfired as they were bowled out for a mere 57 runs in 12.4 overs. Sufiyan Muqeem was exceptional, taking three wickets for just five runs. Abbas Afridi and Salman Agha supported him well, claiming two and one wicket respectively.

Pakistan Wins T20I Series Against Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwean innings began with openers Tadiwanashe Marumani and Brian Bennett struggling to find form. Despite brief resistance through Marumani's reverse sweeps and Bennett's pull shot for six, both fell early. Marumani scored 16 before being dismissed, while Bennett managed 21 before being caught off Afridi's bowling.

Following their dismissals, Zimbabwe's batting lineup crumbled rapidly. Ryan Burl was trapped LBW for just one run, and captain Sikandar Raza followed soon after with a score of three. The tailenders had no answers to Pakistan's spin attack as wickets continued to fall swiftly.

Sufiyan Muqeem stood out by taking two wickets in consecutive balls, leaving Zimbabwe reeling at 46/6. His impressive spell included dismissing Tashinga Musekiwa and Wellington Masakadza, who struggled against his deliveries. Clive Madande top-scored from the tail with nine runs as Zimbabwe reached only 57.

Chasing a modest target of 58, Pakistan's openers Saim Ayub and Omair Yousuf made quick work of it. Ayub remained unbeaten on 36 while Yousuf scored an unbeaten 22. They ran well between the wickets and faced little threat from Zimbabwe's bowlers, reaching the target in just 5.3 overs.

Pakistan's Dominance Continues

This win follows Pakistan’s earlier success in the ODI series where they triumphed 2-1. Their performance across formats in Zimbabwe has been impressive, solidifying their dominance in T20Is too. With the series already won, the final match is now merely a formality.

Zimbabwe’s inability to build partnerships highlights their ongoing struggles in international cricket. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s clinical display underscores their status as leaders in this series.
