Babar Azam And Shaheen Afridi Receive Special Jerseys For Milestone Achievements

Pakistan leveled the series against Ireland with a convincing seven-wicket win in the second T20I in Dublin on May 12. The victory, spearheaded by notable performances from Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman, has set the stage for an exciting series finale. The occasion was marked by the presentation of special shirts to former T20I captain Shaheen Afridi and the current captain, Babar Azam. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi personally handed over these commemorative jerseys to the players, celebrating their individual achievements in international cricket.

Babar Azam received his special jersey in recognition of leading Pakistan in his 45th T20I match as captain, making him the most successful captain among Pakistan's 11 T20I leaders. The 29-year-old, who was reinstated as captain before the recent series against New Zealand, celebrated this milestone with a victory over Ireland.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was honored for reaching 300 international wickets across all formats, a milestone achieved during the second match against Ireland. With this achievement, Shaheen's tally stands at 302 wickets, including 113 in 29 Tests, 104 in 53 ODIs, and 85 in 63 T20Is.

As Pakistan gears up for the upcoming T20 World Cup, the form of both Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi will be crucial. They are part of Group A, which also includes Ireland, USA, Canada, and India.
