PCB Trolled For Pricing Bangladesh Test Match Tickets At Samosa Rates
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faced criticism for setting low ticket prices for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, starting on August 21. The cheapest ticket for the second Test in Karachi is priced at PKR 50, equivalent to INR 15.
Upon learning about the low ticket prices, Indian fans mocked PCB, comparing the amount to the cost of a samosa in India. One fan commented, "Itne ka toh idhar 1 samosa aata hai," highlighting the affordability.

The PCB likely set these low prices to attract more spectators to the stadiums. After a long break from hosting matches, Pakistan aims to send a positive message to other cricketing nations by filling the stands.

In contrast, hospitality tickets at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium are priced significantly higher. A full box costs PKR 2,00,000 per day (approximately INR 67,000), while 'Platinum' tickets are PKR 12,500 per day.
The general tickets for the second Test at Karachi's National Stadium remain at PKR 50 or INR 15. However, hospitality tickets there are even higher at PKR 2,50,000 per day with 'Platinum' tickets also costing PKR 12,500 per day.
Series Schedule and Team Arrivals
The first Test will commence in Rawalpindi on August 21, followed by the second Test in Karachi starting August 30. The PCB had earlier announced that Bangladesh's senior cricket team would arrive in Lahore on Tuesday, August 13 for the two-Test series beginning in Rawalpindi.
Originally scheduled to arrive on August 17, Bangladesh decided to come earlier following an invitation from PCB amid increasing unrest and political turmoil in their country.
By setting affordable ticket prices and hosting international matches again, Pakistan aims to revive its cricketing spirit and attract fans back to stadiums.
