Royal Challengers Bengaluru Signs Nuwan Thushara

At 30 years old, Nuwan Thushara has made a name for himself with his unique slinging bowling action, reminiscent of Lasith Malinga. He is an integral part of Sri Lanka's T20I team and debuted against Australia in February 2022. His ability to perform under pressure has marked him as a promising player in Sri Lankan cricket.

In February 2024, Thushara was selected for Sri Lanka's T20I squad for their tour of Bangladesh. On March 9, 2024, he achieved a significant milestone by taking a hat-trick in the third T20I match. This feat made him the fifth Sri Lankan to achieve a hat-trick in T20I cricket.

During the same game, Thushara also secured his first five-wicket haul, solidifying his role as a vital bowler for the team. His consistent performances earned him a spot in Sri Lanka's squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in May 2024. His knack for delivering when it matters most makes him a player worth watching.
