Netherlands Cricketer Vivian Kingma Enjoys Backyard Access To International Stadium

Netherlands cricketer Vivian Kingma is living the dream of many professional athletes. While most cricketers travel long distances for practices and matches, Kingma enjoys the unique privilege of having an entire stadium attached to his backyard.

Kingma resides in The Hague, Netherlands, where his house is directly connected to Sportpark Westvliet Cricket Stadium. This proximity allows him to seamlessly transition from home to the field. The Dutch team is currently playing a Tri-series against Ireland and Scotland at this venue as they prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024.

The Netherlands Cricket Board shared a video on social media showcasing Kingma's unique living situation. In the video, Kingma is seen leaving his house and entering the cricket field within seconds. After a stellar performance, he is shown returning home just as quickly.

Kingma began the series impressively, taking 4 wickets in the first match against Scotland, leading the Dutch team to a 41-run victory. Despite losing the next two matches, Kingma has added 2 more wickets to his tally.

The 29-year-old cricketer aims to shine for his nation in the upcoming T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA. The Netherlands are placed in Group D and will start their campaign against Nepal on June 4. Other teams in their group include South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
