Janakpur Bolts have surged to the top of the Nepal Premier League 2024 standings. They achieved this after a narrow 1-run victory against Lumbini Lions in match 14 at TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur, on December 8. This win keeps the Bolts unbeaten in their campaign so far.
Despite Anil Shah's efforts leading the Bolts to a modest 136/9 in their innings, Harsh Thaker's exceptional bowling turned the game around. The Canadian spinner took five wickets, restricting the Lions to 135/8 in their allotted overs, securing a thrilling win for his team.
The Bolts' victory has them sitting comfortably at the top of the table. Sudurpaschim Royals are close behind and can reclaim first place with a win over Chitwan Royals later in the day. Meanwhile, Lumbini Lions remain at the bottom after four consecutive losses.

Nepal Premier League 2024 Schedule and Results
The league has seen some exciting matches so far. On November 30, Janakpur Bolts defeated Biratnagar Kings by eight wickets. On December 2, Chitwan Rhinos secured a five-wicket win over Kathmandu Gurkhas.
The same day, Janakpur Bolts triumphed over Karnali Yaks by eight wickets. Sudurpaschim Royals had a massive 90-run victory against Biratnagar Kings on December 3. Chitwan Rhinos also won by 87 runs against Pokhara Avengers that day.
Kathmandu Gurkhas managed a three-wicket win over Karnali Yaks on December 4. Biratnagar Kings edged out Lumbini Lions by two wickets on the same day. On December 5, Janakpur Bolts beat Pokhara Avengers by seven wickets.
