Nepal Premier League 2024 Points Table: Sudurpaschim Royals Lead After December 7 Matches

The Sudurpaschim Royals have taken the lead in the Nepal Premier League 2024 standings. They secured a dominant victory over the Lumbini Lions in match 12 at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur on December 7. This win has placed them at the top of the table, maintaining their unbeaten streak.

Saif Zaib was instrumental for the Royals, delivering an all-round performance. He scored 94 runs, helping his team reach 187 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs. In addition, he took three wickets, restricting the Lions to just 142/9 in their innings.

With this victory, the Royals remain undefeated after three matches. Meanwhile, the Lumbini Lions are yet to secure a win in their three attempts and are currently at the bottom of the standings. The competition continues with other teams striving to improve their positions.

In another match on the same day, Karnali Yaks featuring former India opener Shikhar Dhawan aimed for consecutive wins against Biratnagar Kings. Both teams were eager to climb up in the standings with a victory.

As of now, following several matches, Sudurpaschim Royals lead the standings followed by Janakpur Bolts and Chitwan Rhinos. The bottom five spots are occupied by Gurkhas, Kings, Lions, Yaks and Avengers.

Nepal Premier League Schedule and Results

The league has seen several exciting matches so far. On November 30, Biratnagar Kings were defeated by Janakpur Bolts by eight wickets. On December 2, Chitwan Rhinos won against Kathmandu Gurkhas by five wickets.

The same day saw Janakpur Bolts securing another victory against Karnali Yaks by eight wickets. On December 3, Sudurpaschim Royals triumphed over Biratnagar Kings with a massive margin of 90 runs.

The Chitwan Rhinos also had a significant win over Pokhara Avengers on December 3 by 87 runs. On December 4, Kathmandu Gurkhas narrowly defeated Karnali Yaks by three wickets.

Lumbini Lions faced a close defeat against Biratnagar Kings on December 4 as well. The following day saw Janakpur Bolts winning against Pokhara Avengers by seven wickets.

Kathmandu Gurkhas suffered a heavy loss to Sudurpaschim Royals on December 5 by 73 runs. Karnali Yaks managed to beat Chitwan Rhinos by six wickets on December 6.

Pokraha Avengers secured a comprehensive ten-wicket victory over Lumbini Lions on December 6 as well. The latest match saw Sudurpaschim Royals defeating Lumbini Lions again on December 7 by a margin of 45 runs.
