Most Sixes By A Team In IPL 2024 After Delhi Capitals Beat Lucknow Super Giants

Delhi Capitals (DC) possibly concluded their season with 135 sixes, moving to third place in the battle for most sixes by a team in IPL 2024. This follows their 19-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, May 14, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Abhishek Porel scored 58 off 33 balls and Tristan Stubbs remained unbeaten with 57 off 25 balls, each hitting four sixes. Shai Hope added two sixes, helping DC post a total of 208 after being put into bat.

In response, Arshad Khan emerged as an unlikely hero for LSG, scoring 58* off 33 balls with five sixes. Nicholas Pooran contributed with four maximums, and Yudhvir Singh hit one six. Despite their efforts, LSG fell short of the target and face the possibility of an early exit.

Although DC secured a win, they are also on the brink of early elimination, finishing with 14 points and a poor Net Run Rate (NRR). LSG can also finish on 14 points if they win their next match but have the worst NRR compared to other teams that could finish with the same points.
