Monty Panesar Predicts Victory For India In T20 World Cup Under Rohit Sharma
Monty Panesar, a former England cricketer, has expressed confidence in India's chances of winning the T20 World Cup. He also dismissed the criticism directed at Rohit Sharma.
India will face England in the T20 World Cup semifinal on Thursday, June 27. Panesar believes India possesses all the necessary elements to secure the trophy.

India excelled in the group stages and continued their success in the Super Eight with three wins. Panesar thinks Rohit Sharma's strategic acumen and the team's strong bowling lineup give them an edge in the final stages.
"I think India is the strongest team at the moment. And I believe they will go on to win it. They have to be smart and strategic, but they have a smart team. The bowling attack is excellent and they are the favourites," Panesar said to MyKhel in an exclusive interview.
At the tournament's start, Rohit Sharma faced criticism for his captaincy. Some experts questioned his strategies and decisions. However, Panesar holds a different opinion on this matter.
"What criticism! Rohit Sharma has been brilliant. He has adapted superbly to the conditions. I don't know why people criticized him earlier! Sometimes a captain needs a bit of time to adjust. He has full belief in his team and that has been present all along," Panesar adds when asked about the criticism of the India captain.
Upcoming Matches
The semifinal match between India and England will take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana. If India wins, they will face South Africa in Barbados on Saturday for the final match. South Africa qualified for the final after defeating Afghanistan.
Panesar's endorsement of India's capabilities highlights their potential to clinch victory despite early criticisms of their captaincy.
