Mohammed Shami Clears Air On Sania Mirza Wedding Rumours, Issues Stern Warning

India pacer Mohammed Shami issued a strong message to those linking him with Tennis star Sania Mirza. Recently, rumours surfaced about Shami marrying Sania following her divorce from Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. Despite cricketers often being associated with celebrities, Shami firmly dismissed these claims.

During a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Shami discussed the bizarre nature of the link. "It was completely weird. I can understand memes are created for fun, but that needs to be done with proper thought as someone's life is related to it," he stated.

The fast bowler then issued a challenge to those spreading these rumours. He urged them to post from verified social media accounts if they had the courage. "You [The Meme creators] don't post from a verified page and you don't have a proper address, hence you can say many things. Agar aapke dum hai to verified page se bolke dikhao. Fir hum batate hai ke aap kitne paani me gire ho (If you have guts, say it from a verified page. Then I will show you how much in trouble you are)," Shami warned on the podcast.

Shami also advised people to focus on positive activities rather than disturbing successful individuals. "It is very easy to defame or disturb anyone. Try to achieve a bit of success and upscale the level. Do something meaningful and make others happy. Try to shift your joy from tormenting others to helping people. Then I will admit that you are a good person," he added.

Shami has been sidelined due to an ankle injury since the 2023 ICC World Cup but mentioned that he has recently resumed training. The Indian speedster aims to return for upcoming international matches.
