Marcus Trescothick Appointed Interim Head Coach Of England White-Ball Team
Marcus Trescothick has been named the interim head coach for England's white-ball cricket team. This follows Matthew Mott's resignation after over two years in the position. During Mott's tenure, England relinquished two World Cup titles within the past year.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) revealed this decision on Tuesday, July 30. The announcement came after Mott had a meeting with Rob Key, ECB's Managing Director of England Men's Cricket, last week.

Matthew Mott, an Australian, saw immediate success following his appointment in May 2022. That same year, England secured the T20 World Cup in Australia. His leadership also brought white-ball series victories against several teams including Australia, Bangladesh, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Pakistan.
