Maharaja Trophy 2024: Key Highlights From KSCA's T20 Cricket Tournament

The third edition of the Maharaja Trophy T20 2024 commenced on Thursday, August 15, at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This venue will host the entire tournament, including the knockout rounds from August 30 to September 1.

Several renowned Karnataka cricketers who have represented India and played in the IPL, such as Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Devdutt Paddikal, Karun Nair, Prasidh Krishna, Vyshak Vijaykumar, and K Gowtham, will participate alongside emerging talents from the state during this event.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is organising this six-team T20 tournament. The teams competing for the title over the next two weeks are Bengaluru Blasters, Hubli Tigers, Gulbarga Mystics, Mangaluru Dragons, Mysore Warriors, and Shivamogga Lions.

Note: Each win earns 2 points; a No Result gives 1 point; a loss yields 0 points. The top four teams after the league phase advance to the semifinals. M - Matches Played; W - Won; L - Lost; NR - No Result; PTS - Points; NRR - Net Run Rate; Q - Qualified for semifinals; E - Eliminated from semi-final race.

The six teams will compete in double round-robin matches to determine the top four. The league phase concludes on August 29. The top four teams on the points table will then move on to the knockouts: semi-finals followed by the final.
