Jaffna Kings' innings began with Pathum Nissanka getting out on the first ball. However, Kusal Mendis (72* off 40) and Rilee Rossouw (106* off 53) took charge, completing the chase in just 15.4 overs.

- Man of the Match: Rilee Rossouw (106 not out off 53 balls for Jaffna Kings)
- Man of the Series: Rilee Rossouw (389 runs for Jaffna Kings)
- Pink Cap for Most Runs: Tim Seifert (400 runs for Galle Marvels)
- Red Cap for Most Wickets: Shadab Khan (17 wickets for Colombo Strikers)
- Emerging Player of the LPL 2024 season: Chamindu Wickramasinghe
The match started with Jaffna Kings winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Their decision proved effective as they reduced Galle Marvels to 24/3 within 6.5 overs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa then stepped up, scoring a remarkable 82 runs off just 34 balls.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa's innings included eight fours and six sixes. He formed two vital partnerships: a 62-run stand with Tim Seifert for the fourth wicket and a 72-run partnership with Sahan Arachchige for the fifth wicket. These efforts helped Galle Marvels post a total of 184/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Rilee Rossouw (Player of the Match and Man of the Series): "Just played one ball at a time. Credit also to Kusal for a superb knock. He came through for us in the Qualifier and tonight. People that know me don't abuse me. It's part of the game (talking about his exchange with Rajapaksa). Just puts me more in the zone. Thankfully it came off today. Winning the tournament is what we came here to do."
Niroshan Dickwella (Galle Marvels captain): "It was a great campaign throughout these 21 days. Proud of the boys. I didn't mind batting first. But we didn't read the wicket well. Credit to Bhanuka. With the ball it was a disaster. In the 45-minute break, there was dew as well. Wicket settled down for the batters. We had a great time. Want to thank teammates, coaching staff, owners, IPG group, SLC. It was a great tournament."
Charith Asalanka (Jaffna Kings captain): "It's amazing feeling. First time captaining in LPL and to lift trophy is amazing feeling. It's all about professional individual performance. They looked after themselves. I'm speechless with their batting. First wicket went first ball and Rilee and Kusal were outstanding. Want to thank my fans."
Tabraiz Shamsi (Jaffna Kings spinner): "It's not the first time he's (Rossouw) done something like that. We call him 'The Rocket' back home. That's exactly what he's done. He's capable of special innings like that. Our batting unit has been firing all through the tournament. 180 - a lot more than what we should have been chasing but we were quite confident."
The bowling attack from Jaffna Kings was led by Asitha Fernando who took three wickets while Jason Behrendorff conceded only 18 runs in his four overs, picking up two wickets.
The final match saw some incredible performances from both teams, but it was Jaffna Kings who emerged victorious, showcasing their dominance in this year's Lanka Premier League.
