Kuldeep Yadav Visits Bageshwar Dham For Blessings After T20 World Cup Triumph
Star spinner Kuldeep Yadav recently visited Bageshwar Dham to seek blessings from Pandit Dhirendra Shastri before heading to Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series. This visit marks his first meeting with Basheshwar Dham Sarkar after India's T20 World Cup 2024 victory on June 29.
In the ODI World Cup 2023, Kuldeep Yadav took 15 wickets in 11 matches. During the T20 World Cup 2024, he secured 10 wickets in five matches. Despite his impressive performance, he was not selected for the India T20I squad facing Sri Lanka from July 27. However, he is part of the Rohit Sharma-led ODI team.

The Indian T20I team has already arrived in Sri Lanka and had their first training session under newly-appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday, July 23. Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the T20I side which also includes Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
The 29-year-old spinner had previously visited Bageshwar Dham ahead of the ODI World Cup 2024 as well. A video from his recent visit has gone viral on social media. In the video, Kuldeep Yadav is seen touching the feet of Basheshwar Dham Sarkar, who introduced him as the pride of India.

Team India’s Preparations
T20 World Cup 2024 winners Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will return to action with the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Ravi Bishnoi has been named as the specialist spinner for the T20I leg in Kuldeep Yadav's absence. The Indian team is scheduled to play three ODI matches in Colombo starting August 2.
Kuldeep's exclusion from the T20I squad has raised eyebrows among fans and analysts alike. Nonetheless, his inclusion in the ODI squad highlights his importance in India's bowling attack for longer formats.
The upcoming series will be crucial for Team India as they prepare for future international tournaments. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how both squads perform under their respective captains and coaching staff.
