'An Unreal Experience': Kuldeep Yadav On India's T20 World Cup Victory

India's wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav described the country's T20 World Cup victory as an "unreal experience" and expressed his desire to be part of such successes in the future. He shared these thoughts during a felicitation event in Kanpur.

On June 29, India secured their second T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 12 runs in Barbados. Kuldeep was one of the key contributors to this victory, taking 10 wickets throughout the tournament.

"It has been an unreal experience for me, and I hope I keep experiencing such things henceforth," he said during the event. He emphasized that such experiences are rare and can take a lifetime for some people to achieve.

Kuldeep became the fourth Indian bowler to reach double-digit figures in terms of wickets in the tournament. He followed Arshdeep Singh with 17 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah with 15, and Hardik Pandya with 11.

"Feeling extremely happy as a player because it's the eighth year of my Team India career, and I had the good fortune of lifting an ICC trophy. It's tough to explain in words about our experience in the last week," he added.

Kuldeep credited the team's bonding and mutual support for their success. He highlighted how their hard work over the past three to four years culminated in this achievement.

"The team's bonding and support for each other throughout the tournament and how we have been playing for the last three to four years -- it is the result that we have achieved today," he said.

Kuldeep also mentioned his hopes for future tournaments, specifically pointing out the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. He wants the team to continue performing at their best level.
