KL Rahul Set To Enter IPL 2025 Mega Auction Bidding Process In Jeddah

KL Rahul, a seasoned Indian cricketer, is set to be a major attraction at the Indian Premier League (IPL) Mega Auction 2025. This event will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, November 24, and Monday, November 25.

In the upcoming auction, Rahul has set a base price of Rs 2 Crore. He is part of the marquee players with a serial number of 10 and belongs to Marquee Set 2.

Rahul's name will be drawn between players numbered 7 to 12 during the auction. The bidding for Marquee Set 2 is expected to commence after Marquee Set 1 concludes around 4:30 PM IST. Therefore, Rahul might enter the bidding process between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM IST.

Rahul was acquired by Lucknow Super Kings for Rs 17 Crore before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction but was released ahead of this year's auction due to various reasons. His journey in IPL began with Punjab Kings in 2018 when they were known as Kings XI Punjab.

Since then, he has consistently scored over 500 runs each season and hit four centuries during this period. Two of these centuries were achieved while playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2022.

Although he led his team to playoffs in their first two seasons, Rahul had disagreements with team owner Sanjeev Goenka during the 2024 season. This likely led to both parties deciding to part ways.
