IPL 2024 Finalists Predicted By Brett Lee And Graeme Swann: KKR Vs SRH Showdown
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have secured their place in the IPL 2024 final with a decisive win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 1. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals (RR) emerged victorious against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator, setting up a crucial Qualifier 2 against SRH on May 24.
The match between RR and SRH at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai promised intense action as both teams, each having won the IPL trophy once, aimed to reach the grand finale. SRH defeated RR in Qualifier 2, setting up a final clash with KKR on May 26 at the same venue, competing for their second IPL title.

Ahead of this anticipated match, myKhel spoke with former England cricketer Graeme Swann to get his thoughts on the finalists and his prediction for the IPL 2024 champion.
Swann, a seasoned Northamptonshire cricketer, believes KKR are the team to beat this season and backed the Shreyas Iyer-led side to lift the trophy. "I think at the moment, KKR. No one is playing the kind of cricket they are playing, and they are looking like a very, very hard team to beat. So, I think they'll be the winners," he stated confidently.
Discussing KKR's strengths, Swann highlighted their formidable form. "An ideal final for me would be between Rajasthan and Kolkata, but Sunrisers are playing some very good cricket. They were cut down by a good team (KKR) in Qualifier 1 the other night. I think it will all boil down to how they bounce back from that defeat at the hands of KKR because it was a heavy defeat. And Royals coming on the back of a good win against RCB sets up an intriguing contest."
Brett Lee Predicts Finalists for IPL 2024
Former Australia pace legend Brett Lee also agreed with Swann's observation and expects the final clash between SRH and KKR. Lee - who has been a part of KKR in the past - said, "I can't take my focus away from the IPL 2024 final as of now. I am expecting a final between KKR and SRH on May 26 at Chepauk."
Impact of Jos Buttler's Absence on Rajasthan Royals
Swann also addressed the absence of RR's star opener, Jos Buttler, in Qualifier 2. "Without a doubt, if you remove a player as good as Buttler from the team, you're going to struggle. You're not going to be as strong. But they've got players stepping up in his stead who are doing well. That victory against RCB the other night shows they are still not a team to be messed with."
The stage is set for an exciting finale as KKR and SRH prepare to battle it out for their second IPL title on May 26 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
