KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final: Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Pat Cummins' Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face off in the final of IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.

KKR, who topped the league stage, secured their place in the final by defeating SRH in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. This victory granted them a direct entry into the IPL 2024 final.

SRH, finishing second in the league stage, had to play Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) after losing Qualifier 1. They triumphed over Rajasthan by 36 runs on Friday, May 24.

The two teams have already met twice in IPL 2024, with SRH losing both encounters. KKR won their IPL 2024 opener against SRH by four runs and then defeated them again in Qualifier 1 by eight wickets.

"There's a nice wind coming across the ground. That has helped me keep a little cool because the humidity is quite severe. If you do win the toss, Sunrisers will have a bat, put a big load of pressure on the Royals and let's see how they go. The groundsman says there won't be any dew," they added.

In Qualifier 2, SRH scored 175/9 after being asked to bat first. SRH pacers picked eight wickets while Jaydev Unadkat got run out. RR were restricted to 139/7 after SRH spinners picked five wickets.

The average total in the last five T20s at this venue is 180 runs. Teams winning the toss have opted to bowl first 62 percent of the time over five years.

Cloud cover is expected in Chennai on Sunday (May 26), but there are no chances of rain. With humidity levels between 60-70 percent in the evening, temperatures will hover around 33-34 degrees Celsius. The wind speed at MA Chidambaram Stadium will be close to 21 km/h.
