KKR's Final Net Session Washed Out Ahead Of IPL Final Against SRH
A sharp spell of rain interrupted the final practice session of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of their crucial IPL final clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday.
While SRH had an off-day, KKR was scheduled to practice in the evening under lights. However, just as the players began their customary warm-up game of football, rain forced them to remain indoors.

As the players ran for cover, the groundsmen managed to cover the fourth strip, which will be used for the final. The second qualifier was played on a black soil track that favoured spinners with the ball gripping and not coming onto the bat.
The primary composition of the track for the final is red soil, where the ball is expected to come onto the bat better compared to Friday's match.
Gautam Gambhir, known for his meticulous inspection of pitches since his days as Delhi Ranji Trophy captain, spent considerable time examining the strip allocated for the grand finale. He was accompanied by head coach Chandrakant Pandit and bowling coach Bharat Arun.
The rain caused a frustrating start-stop affair, leading the KKR team to leave when the groundsmen were forced to relay the covers after pulling them off once.
There is no official forecast of rain on Sunday, but it is expected to remain cloudy with low humidity. However, a minor rain threat looms due to Cyclone Remal in the north of the Bay of Bengal, which could have a small effect in Chennai.
If a washout occurs, there is a reserve day in place, and the forecast for that day is favourable.
