KKR Dominates SRH To Secure Their Place In IPL Final
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have secured a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) final after a decisive victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday. KKR achieved an eight-wicket win with 38 balls to spare, largely thanks to Mitchell Starc's stellar performance.
Sunrisers Hyderabad opted to bat first but found themselves struggling early on. They were at 13-2 within two overs as Mitchell Starc bowled Travis Head for a duck, followed by Andre Russell catching Abhishek Sharma. Starc continued his dominance, taking two more wickets in his second over, ending with figures of 3-34.

Pat Cummins contributed significantly by ensuring SRH did not finish with a sub-140 total. He scored 30 runs before being caught by Rahmanullah Gurbaz, setting a target of 160 for KKR. Cummins then conceded 20 runs in his first over but managed to dismiss Sunil Narine for 21 after Gurbaz was caught for 23.
Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer led KKR's chase with impressive performances. Venkatesh Iyer remained unbeaten on 51, while Shreyas Iyer top-scored with a rapid 24-ball 58. Their efforts helped KKR comfortably reach the target of 164-2.

Data Debrief: Playoff Partners
The Iyers' partnership of 97 not out off 44 balls is the second-highest scoring partnership for KKR in the playoffs. On the other hand, Cummins and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth's 33-run partnership is SRH's highest for the 10th wicket in IPL history, surpassing the previous record of 22 between Dale Steyn and Praveen Kumar.
Despite these efforts, it was not enough to challenge KKR's dominance in the match.
