Karnataka Boosts Local Farmers By Sponsoring T20 Teams Scotland And Ireland

As the T20 World Cup 2024 approaches, the Karnataka government has seized the opportunity to promote its dairy brand 'Nandini' on a global stage. The Karnataka Co-operative Milk Producer's Federation Ltd (KMF) owned 'Nandini' has been announced as the official sponsor for the Scotland and Ireland cricket teams.

On Thursday, May 16, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took to X to express his government's commitment to showcasing the state's high-quality milk products worldwide. He shared an image of a Scotland cricketer wearing the T20 World Cup 2024 jersey, featuring the 'Nandini' logo on the left sleeve. He described this development as a 'significant step' towards making Nandini a global brand.

"Karnataka's proud Nandini company, known in countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, USA, Dubai, UAE, is now sponsoring Scotland and Ireland in the T20 World Cup," Siddaramaiah stated. He emphasized the importance of introducing both the state's premium milk products and the hard work of its farmers to the world.

The Chief Minister added, "This time, Nandini will shine at the World Cup and so will Kannada." He also posted a photograph of Scotland men's team captain Richie Berrington wearing a jersey with the 'Nandini' logo prominently displayed on the sleeve.

KMF is recognized as the second-largest dairy cooperative among India's dairy cooperatives. In South India, it ranks first in terms of both procurement and sales. KMF operates 16 Milk Unions across all districts of Karnataka, procuring milk from Primary Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCS) and distributing it to consumers in various towns, cities, and rural markets within the state.

With this sponsorship deal, Nandini aims to enhance its visibility and reputation on an international platform during one of cricket's most prestigious tournaments.
