IPL Mega Auction 2025: Key Details On Accelerated Round And Player Nomination Deadlines
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the final list of players for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Mega Auction. This list, revealed on November 15, includes 574 players. The BCCI has also communicated the bidding rules to the franchises.
Among the 574 players listed for the IPL Auction 2025, there are 366 Indian players and 208 from overseas, with three from Associate Nations. However, not every player will be auctioned during the two-day event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The auctioneer will initially call out only a few players or sets in a random order. After this, a fast-paced bidding process will commence where franchises can select specific players to bid on.
The accelerated round begins after the first two sets of capped and one set of uncapped players are called out. In this phase, franchises choose additional players they want to see in the auction.
According to CricBuzz, the accelerated process in the IPL Mega Auction 2025 starts with player number 117 and continues through to player number 574. This includes all remaining uncapped players.
Nominating Players for Accelerated Process
Franchises must nominate their chosen players for this accelerated round by 10 PM IST on November 24. Further details will be provided during an auction briefing before the event.
The IPL Mega Auction 2025 is scheduled over two days: Sunday, November 24, and Monday, November 25. It will be held at Benchmark Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The first day's proceedings begin at 12:30 PM local time (3 PM IST).
