Every IPL Final's Man Of The Match: From 2008 To 2023 Winners
Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan clinched the first-ever Player of the Match award in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his stellar performance with both bat and ball for Rajasthan Royals in 2008. Pathan's off-spin bowling figures of 3 for 22 in 4 overs, coupled with a match-winning 56 off 39 balls, secured the title against Chennai Super Kings.
The following year, Anil Kumble received the Man of the Match award for his impressive bowling figures of 4 for 16. However, his team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, fell short against Deccan Chargers in the final. Kumble's award remains unique as no player from a losing team has won the Man of the Match award in IPL finals since then.

To date, there have been 16 IPL final Man of the Match awards. Of these, three were awarded for bowling performances, four for all-round displays, and nine for batting achievements. Players from Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won this accolade most frequently due to their consistent success in the tournament.
Among these 16 winners, Indian players have claimed the award 10 times, while overseas players have won it six times. Below is a detailed list of Man of the Match award winners in IPL finals from 2008 to 2023:
