IPL 2025 Auction: Complete List Of Unsold Players From Day 1 Revealed

The IPL 2025 mega auction kicked off in Jeddah on November 24, presenting a major chance for cricketers globally to join the prestigious Indian Premier League. This two-day event is crucial as it sets the stage for the upcoming IPL cycle, attracting players from around the world.

The first day of the IPL 2025 auction will see bids for 84 players. The initial six sets include both capped and uncapped talents, with 46 capped and 38 uncapped players available. Teams are eager to secure top talent early in the process.

Lucknow Super Giants made headlines by acquiring Rishabh Pant for an unprecedented Rs 27 crore. Punjab Kings also made significant moves, signing Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore and Yuzvendra Chahal for Rs 18 crore. Gujarat Titans added Mohammed Siraj to their roster for Rs 12.25 crore, while Sunrisers Hyderabad secured Mohammed Shami for Rs 10 crore.

Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings were particularly active in acquiring marquee players, each securing three top names. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals managed to sign two marquee players each, showcasing strategic planning in their selections.

KL Rahul's move from Lucknow Super Giants to Delhi Capitals was notable, with a deal valued at Rs 14 crore. These transactions highlight teams' efforts to strengthen their squads with experienced and skilled cricketers.

Devdutt Padikkal emerged as the first unsold player during the IPL 2025 auction's opening day. Although he didn't find a team initially, there's potential for him to be picked later in the event as teams reassess their strategies.
