IPL 2025 Auction: Rishabh Pant Responds To Nathan Lyon's Live Question During Test Match

The IPL 2025 mega auction is scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. The excitement surrounding the auction has even reached the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

During the first Test in Perth, a humorous moment occurred when Australia's Nathan Lyon asked Rishabh Pant about his auction prospects. This exchange was captured on video.

Pant is one of the marquee players in the upcoming mega auction. After being released by Delhi Capitals, he is expected to attract significant interest and potentially set a record for the highest bid in auction history.

In a clip shared by Star Sports, Lyon humorously questioned Pant about his potential team in the auction. "Where are we going in the auction?" Lyon asked as he passed Pant, with the conversation caught on the stump mic.

Pant, known for his witty exchanges on stump mics in Australia, responded that he had no idea where he would end up in the auction.

Meanwhile, India faced challenges at Optus Stadium. Batting first, they struggled and were at 108 for 6. Virat Kohli scored only 5 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal failed to score. KL Rahul's dismissal after scoring 26 was controversial.

Rishabh Pant remained at the crease alongside Nitish Reddy. Pant was batting on 30 runs, having hit three boundaries, showing some resilience amid India's difficulties.

Potential Suitors for Pant

Pant will likely have many teams vying for him during the mega auction. Punjab Kings, with the largest budget, are considered strong contenders. Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings are also expected to pursue him.

The anticipation around Pant's future team adds another layer of intrigue to this year's IPL mega auction.
