IPL 2025 Auction: Full List Of Bengal Players Including Mohammad Shami And Mukesh Kumar
Jay Shah, Secretary of BCCI, has announced the list of players for the IPL 2025 auction. With the event just days away, teams have already declared their retained players. The auction will feature a total of 574 cricketers.
The upcoming IPL 2025 auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will include 208 international players and 366 Indian players. Among these, only 12 are marquee players with a starting bid of Rs. 2 crore.

From the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), 13 cricketers are part of the Indian contingent. Mohammad Shami is the only marquee player from CAB. Out of these 13, four are capped players with IPL experience.
Mohammad Shami has played in 110 IPL matches for various teams. In IPL 2023, he took 28 wickets and earned the Purple Cap with Gujarat Titans. Shahbaz Ahmad has appeared in 55 matches, last playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Mukesh Kumar, a right-arm medium pacer aged 31, has played in 20 IPL matches for Delhi Capitals. Akash Deep, another fast bowler from Bengal, has participated in eight IPL games so far.
Among uncapped players from Bengal are Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sudip Gharami, and Ishan Porel. They have been active in first-class cricket for Bengal over several years.
Easwaran recently got selected for India's tour to Australia. Meanwhile, Abishek Porel stands out as the sole player from Bengal retained by any franchise for this mega auction.
