IPL 2024: Will Rain Affect SRH Vs LSG Clash In Hyderabad?
SRH vs LSG: Rain Threat Looms Over Crucial IPL 2024 Match
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a pivotal Match 66 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, May 16. The match is crucial for both teams as they vie for a spot in the playoffs.

A win for SRH will secure their position as the third team to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, LSG need a significant victory and favourable outcomes from other matches to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, SRH have an advantage as they can still qualify if the match is abandoned due to rain, sharing points with LSG and reaching 15 points.
Hyderabad experienced heavy rain showers on Thursday afternoon, leading to the ground staff covering the entire field at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Videos of water-logging in various parts of the city have surfaced, raising concerns about the match proceeding as scheduled.

Accuweather has forecasted thunderstorms from 9 PM to 10 PM, with the match scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST. The precipitation level is expected to be around 50 percent from 7 PM until midnight, potentially affecting the game.
Recently, rain has disrupted several IPL matches. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Gujarat Titans (GT) match was abandoned without a toss in Ahmedabad. Similarly, a match between KKR and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Kolkata faced delays and was reduced to a 16-over per side game due to rain interruptions.
