IPL 2024 Playoffs Revealed: Schedule, Teams, And Key Match Timings

The IPL 2024 playoffs are set to commence following the conclusion of 70 league stage matches. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have secured their spots in the playoffs.

KKR emerged as the top-ranked team, amassing 20 points from 14 games. Their final league match against Rajasthan Royals was abandoned due to rain in Guwahati on Sunday, May 19. As a result, RR had to share a point and settled at the third spot with 17 points.

In the day fixture on Sunday, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) to claim the second spot. RR needed a win to secure a berth in Qualifier 1, but rain disrupted their plans. Despite finishing with 17 points, SRH's superior Net Run Rate (NRR) placed them ahead of RR.

On Saturday, May 18, RCB defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 27 runs, becoming the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs. RCB finished with 14 points, the same as CSK and Delhi Capitals (DC), but their better NRR ensured their place in the final four.
