IPL 2024: RCB's Fate Hangs In Balance Against RR In Eliminator Showdown
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to face off in the Eliminator of the IPL 2024 playoffs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, May 22.
RCB secured fourth place in the league stage by defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 27 runs in their final match. This victory allowed Bangalore to match Chennai's 14 points but surpass them due to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals shared a point with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last league match. Both Rajasthan and Hyderabad finished with 17 points each, but Rajasthan had to settle for third place due to an inferior NRR.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won six consecutive matches and aim to make it seven to secure a spot in Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who lost by eight wickets to KKR on Tuesday. RCB initially lost seven of their first eight matches but turned their fortunes around with six straight wins.
If RCB lose their Eliminator match against Rajasthan Royals, they will be eliminated from IPL 2024. The winner of the Eliminator will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 in Chennai on Friday, May 24. The victor of Qualifier 2 will compete against KKR in the IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 26.
