IPL 2024: Gulbadin Naib, Donovan Ferreira Debut For DC, RR

Donovan Ferreira, hailing from South Africa, is known for his aggressive batting style. The 25-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has represented the Proteas in 2 T20 International matches and is also a part of the Joburg Super Kings in the SA20 league.

On the Delhi Capitals front, captaincy decisions brought Ishant Sharma and Gulbadin Naib into play, with Mukesh Kumar making a return as well. This meant that Prithvi Shaw and Lizaad Williams were left out, alongside Rasikh Salam who was moved to the substitutes.

Gulbadin Naib, stepping in for Mitchell Marsh, is an experienced bowling all-rounder from Afghanistan. At 32 years old, he has participated in 64 T20 International matches for Afghanistan, showcasing his skills not just with the ball but also as a capable batter lower down the order.
