Exploring The Indian Cricket Team's Home Season 2024-25: A City-wise Breakdown
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the itinerary for the senior men's team from September 19 to February 12. This period will feature a packed international home season, including a high-profile five-match Test series against Australia.
Team India is set to play five home Tests as part of their World Test Championship commitments. The series will commence with two Tests against Bangladesh, scheduled in Chennai on September 19 and Kanpur on September 27.

Following the Bangladesh series, India will host New Zealand for a three-match Test series. The matches will take place in Bengaluru (October 16-20), Pune (October 24-28), and Mumbai (November 1-5). Additionally, India will host eight T20Is and three ODIs during this period.
The T20I series against Bangladesh includes matches in Dharamsala (October 6), Delhi (October 9), and Hyderabad (October 12).
After the Tests and T20Is, the England series will begin with five T20Is and three ODIs. The T20I series against England starts in Chennai on January 22, followed by games in Kolkata (January 25), Rajkot (January 28), Pune (January 31), and Mumbai (February 2).
The ODI series against England will be held in Nagpur (February 6), Cuttack (February 9), and Ahmedabad (February 12). The final ODI against England will conclude India's home season, as the team prepares for the Champions Trophy, expected to be played in a hybrid model due to the team's likely non-travel to Pakistan.
Throughout this home season, the Indian Cricket Team will travel to thirteen different cities across the country to play various formats. Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune are unique as they will host one Test match and one white-ball format game each.
