World Championship Of Legends 2024: India-Pakistan Final Anticipated To Entertain Fans
Shahid Afridi has predicted an exciting India vs Pakistan final in the inaugural World Championship of Legends 2024. This comes ahead of Pakistan's semi-final clash with West Indies in Northampton.
Pakistan, who secured second place on the WCL 2024 points table, will face third-placed West Indies in the first semi-final on Friday (July 12) at the County Cricket Ground in Northampton. Later that day, fourth-placed India will take on table-toppers Australia in the second semi-final.

Earlier in the tournament, Younis Khan's Pakistan Champions defeated Yuvraj Singh's India Champions during the league phase at a sold-out Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
Ahead of a potential rematch if both teams win their semi-finals, former Pakistan all-rounder Afridi emphasized that players are eager to reach the final. He stated, "All the teams' players are determined to win the semi-final and make it to the final [...] fans will get great entertainment if Pakistan vs India takes place," as quoted by Geo News.
Both teams need to recover from recent losses to secure their spots in the title match, scheduled for Saturday (July 13) at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
Recent Performances and Challenges
Pakistan lost only their final round-robin match against South Africa, who also defeated India in their last league game. Yuvraj's team has been struggling with a three-match losing streak that began with their defeat to Pakistan.
On July 6, Pakistan posted a massive total of 243 thanks to Kamran Akmal and Sharjeel Khan's impressive knocks followed by Shoaib Maqsood's quickfire fifty. Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz then restricted India to 175/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Bowlers' Contributions
Malik (3 for 38) and Riaz (3 for 22) each took three wickets, while Sohail Tanvir and Sohail Khan claimed one wicket apiece. For India Champions, Suresh Raina made a notable contribution with a fifty.
The anticipation for an India vs Pakistan final is high among fans, promising an entertaining showdown if both teams advance past their semi-final hurdles.
