T20 World Cup 2024: India Announces Major Changes Against Pakistan
IND vs PAK: The India playing eleven will see five definite changes in the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Pakistan on Sunday, compared to the team that faced their arch-rivals in the previous edition of the ICC event in Australia.
In the T20 World Cup 2022 match against Pakistan, Dinesh Karthik was India's wicketkeeper-batter. Karthik retired just before the T20 World Cup 2024, and Rishabh Pant is now set to take over wicketkeeping duties for India.

Additionally, KL Rahul opened alongside captain Rohit Sharma in the 2022 match, which India won by four wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). In the T20 World Cup 2024, Virat Kohli will be opening with Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul has not been included in the 15-member squad.
Premier bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were part of the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2022 match. However, none of them are in the squad this time around.
Axar Patel has been selected ahead of Ashwin, while Shami is still recovering from an injury that kept him out of the entire IPL 2024 season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar last played for India in November 2022.
Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj are the only three pacers included in India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
