India has become the first Group A team to secure a spot in the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024 after defeating the USA on Wednesday, June 12. The team, led by Rohit Sharma, has won all three of its initial matches and will face Canada in its final group stage match in Florida on Saturday, June 15. However, this match will not affect India's fixtures in the Super 8 round, which begins on Wednesday, June 19.

In the second round of the ongoing ICC event, India is placed in Group 1. This group also includes Australia and Afghanistan. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for June 29. Bangladesh is competing for a second-place finish in Group D and is likely to join India, Australia, and Afghanistan in Super 8 Group 1.
