Team India made history by securing the most wins against a single opposition in T20 World Cup history. This achievement came after their thrilling victory over Pakistan in the group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2024. The match took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 9 (Sunday).

The Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, faced criticism for recording their lowest-ever total in a T20 World Cup, being bowled out for 119 against Pakistan. Despite this setback, they managed to restrict Pakistan to 113/7 in 20 overs, winning the game by 6 runs.

This victory extended India's dominance over Pakistan in T20 World Cups, including a win in a tie. The head-to-head record now stands firmly in India's favour.
