India Secures Victory Against Pakistan In World Championship Of Legends 2024 Final

India Champions triumphed over Pakistan Champions by 5 wickets to win the inaugural World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2024. The match took place on Saturday, July 13, at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, England.

Pakistan opted to bat first but faced early setbacks. Sharjeel Khan (12 off 10 balls) and Shoaib Maqsood (21 off 12 balls) were dismissed during the powerplay. Kamran Akmal (24 off 19 balls) and Shoaib Malik (41 off 36 balls) helped stabilize the innings, leading Pakistan to a total of 156/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Rayudu and Gurkeerat's partnership of 60 runs brought India closer to the target. Despite their quick dismissals by spinners, Yusuf Pathan (30 off 16 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (15* off 22 balls) managed to keep the chase on track with a stand of 42 runs from 34 balls.

For Pakistan, Aamer Yamin was the standout bowler with figures of 2 for 29. Wahab Riaz (1 for 18), Saeed Ajmal (1 for 25), and Shoaib Malik (1 for 17) each took a wicket but couldn't prevent India's victory.

India's bowlers also played a significant role in restricting Pakistan's score. Anureet Singh was the top wicket-taker with figures of 3 for 43. Vinay Kumar (1 for 36), Pawan Negi (1 for 24), and Irfan Pathan (1 for 12) each contributed with a wicket.
