Team India Prepares For Upcoming White-Ball Series In Sri Lanka
The Indian cricket team is gearing up for a tour of Sri Lanka, where they will play six white-ball matches. The series includes three T20Is followed by three ODIs, starting on Saturday, July 27.
With the series approaching soon, Team India will be leaving for Sri Lanka in the coming days as new head coach Gautam Gambhir prepares to take on the role vacated by Rahul Dravid. Gambhir will start his tenure in the Sri Lanka series.

The Indian team is expected to depart for Sri Lanka either over the weekend or at the beginning of next week. Reports indicate that they will leave on Monday, July 22. Before their departure, new head coach Gautam Gambhir will be officially introduced in a press conference.
Suryakumar Yadav has been named captain of the T20I side, while Rohit Sharma retains his role as ODI captain. Shubman Gill will serve as vice-captain for both formats during this tour. Rohit and other ODI-specific players might join the squad later since the ODI series starts on August 2.
This tour marks India's second since their T20 World Cup victory last month but is the first to feature most of the winning squad. The Zimbabwe tour had many new faces, but now key players like Suryakumar Yadav are back. Rohit Sharma retired from T20Is after the World Cup win in the Caribbean along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.
Several players from the Zimbabwe tour have retained their spots in the T20I squad for Sri Lanka. These include Riyan Parag, Washington Sundar, Khaleel Ahmed, and Ravi Bishnoi.
