BCCI Announces Squad Changes For India's Zimbabwe Tour: Key Updates
The Indian cricket team has undergone changes for the Zimbabwe tour, with the BCCI modifying the squad for the first two matches. Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dube have been replaced by Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana.
The five-match T20 series is scheduled to commence on July 6, with most of the Indian team already in Zimbabwe. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, three players had to be swapped out for the initial games.

Shubman Gill (c), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Tushar Deshpande, Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, Harshit Rana
Harshit Rana and Sai Sudharsan were initially expected to be part of the original squad but were left out by selectors. Now they will join the team for the first two T20I matches in Zimbabwe.
This adjustment was necessary because some players are currently stuck in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. Samson, Jaiswal, and Dube are among those affected and are unable to travel with the rest of the team.
Despite missing the first two matches in Zimbabwe, Samson, Jaiswal, and Dube are anticipated to join the squad for the remaining three matches. While Dube was part of the main team throughout recent tournaments, neither Samson nor Jaiswal played in any T20 World Cup matches.
The Indian team is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe by Wednesday evening. This delay means that Samson and his teammates wouldn't have been able to make it in time for the initial games.
