T20 World Cup 2024: India's Bowling Attack Makes Them Formidable
Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq acknowledges the stature of the Indian team and feels they have significantly improved their bowling.
India will be hoping to showcase their prowess in the upcoming T20 World Cup next month. After a heartbreak in the 50-over World Cup last year, Rohit Sharma and his team will be eager to make amends.

In their quest for the World Cup, India will have to face Pakistan, as the arch-rivals are set to clash in a group stage match. India will be up against Pakistan on June 9 in New York.
Ahead of the match, Misbah-ul-Haq has praised Team India. He has particularly stressed how the bowling unit has evolved for the Men in Blue and believes the quality has increased significantly.
"It's a different Indian team now, a skilful team with a very powerful bowling lineup. The batting has always been strong, but the quality of their fast bowling has really elevated their game. With bowlers like Bumrah, Shami, Siraj, and the all-round abilities of Hardik Pandya, the quality of Indian cricket has increased significantly. Their ability to handle pressure has improved too," Misbah said during the Star Sports Press Room show.
Pressure on Asian Teams
Misbah also believes teams like Australia manage to stay composed in pressure situations, which is significantly tougher for Pakistan and India due to massive expectations from their populations.
"Teams like Pakistan, India, and other Asian teams face immense pressure from their huge populations and high expectations. This pressure can affect performance significantly. It's something India has struggled with in the last few mega events, where they haven't been able to finish strong," he added.
"For Australia, this isn't as big of an issue, but for Pakistan and India, playing under such intense pressure is a major challenge. It's interesting to see how these teams will manage it in the future. India, especially, will need to find ways to overcome this mounting pressure if they want to succeed in upcoming events," Misbah concluded.
