Hardik Pandya's exceptional performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup has propelled him to the No.1 position in the latest ICC Men's T20I Rankings for all-rounders. He climbed two spots to share the top rank with Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga.

Pandya's contributions were crucial in the final, where he took key wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller, playing a pivotal role in India's victorious campaign. This achievement marks him as the first Indian man to reach this top ranking in the all-rounder category.

The updated rankings also saw changes among other leading all-rounders. Marcus Stoinis, Sikandar Raza, Shakib Al Hasan, and Liam Livingstone each moved up one spot. Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi dropped four places, falling out of the top five.

The bowling rankings experienced significant shifts, with South Africa's Anrich Nortje making a notable leap. Nortje advanced seven places to reach a career-best second position, just behind Adil Rashid, who remains at the top with 675 rating points.

India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Tournament for his 15 wickets and climbed 12 spots to just outside the top ten, his highest ranking since late 2020. Kuldeep Yadav entered the top ten by moving up three places to joint-eighth. Other notable advancements included Arshdeep Singh rising four spots to a career-best No.13 after finishing as the leading wicket-taker at the T20 World Cup and Tabraiz Shamsi climbing five positions to reach the top 15.

Batting Rankings

The batting rankings saw minimal changes within the top ten. South Africa's captain Aiden Markram was the only significant mover, dropping two points after a less impactful tournament with the bat. Australia's Travis Head continues to lead after dethroning India's Suryakumar Yadav, who remains in second place.

Hardik Pandya's Tournament Highlights

Pandya showcased his all-round brilliance throughout the tournament. He delivered impactful cameos with the bat lower down the order and made vital breakthroughs with the ball. Finishing with 144 runs at an impressive strike rate of over 150 and claiming 11 wickets, his consistent performances were key to India's success.

However, his standout performance came in the final match. With South Africa seemingly in control, Pandya's crucial wicket of Klaasen shifted momentum. He then bowled a tense final over, defending 16 runs to secure India's T20 World Cup title.

Pandya's rise to the top of the T20I all-rounder rankings highlights his essential role in India's T20 World Cup victory and underscores his exceptional all-round abilities.
