Gulf Giants Form Strategic Partnerships With Cricket Academies In UAE To Boost Local Talent
In a significant move to bolster cricket in the UAE, Adani Sportsline's Gulf Giants have forged partnerships with Swantons Cricket Academy and Smashing Point Sports Academy (SPSA)-Raise Your Game, both based in Dubai.
This marks the first occasion that Adani Sportsline has engaged with cricket academies in the Middle East, aiming to reinforce the Gulf Giants' influence in the region. The collaboration encompasses a range of initiatives designed to connect with the local cricket community, including the academies' players, their families, and coaches.

The partnership strategy includes a blend of branding activities and fan engagement opportunities. Among these are planned visits by Gulf Giants players to the academies, not only to interact with young cricketers but also to integrate promising talents into their practice sessions as net players.
Recently, the Gulf Giants, participating in the third season of the ILT20 League, made their presence felt at the academies. Key team members, including Ollie Robinson, an English wicketkeeper-batter, and Grant Flower, the batting coach, visited SPSA. Meanwhile, Namibian all-rounder Gerhard Erasmus and coach Ottis Gibson spent time sharing their expertise at Swantons Cricket Academy.
In addition to direct engagement initiatives, Adani Sportline is planning to launch a tournament named "Little Giants," inviting participation from various schools across the UAE. "The partnership with the academies is a pivotal step towards unlocking the true potential of talent in the UAE. The 'Little Giants' tournament is another initiative that will help us create pathways for young cricketers. We wish to reinforce our mission of making cricket an inclusive and thriving sport across communities, while continuing to expand our global footprint," stated Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Adani Sportsline.
Zameer Sulaiman, Senior Manager at Swantons Cricket Academy, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting the significant opportunity it presents for young players to enhance their skills and pursue cricketing careers. Sony Cheruvathur, Director of SPSA, also highlighted the partnership's role in strengthening the UAE's cricketing framework, emphasizing their commitment to cricket development at the grassroots level.
