Goa Duo Kashyap Bakle And Snehal Kauthankar Achieve Historic 606-Run Partnership In Ranji Trophy
In an extraordinary display of cricket prowess, Goa's Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar set a remarkable record in the Ranji Trophy. Their unbeaten partnership of 606 runs for the third wicket against Arunachal Pradesh in Porvorim has not only rewritten the history books for the tournament but also stands as the second-highest partnership in first-class cricket.
Previously, Maharashtra's Swapnil Gugale and Ankit Bawne held the Ranji Trophy record with a 594-run partnership against Delhi during the 2016-17 season. The Goa duo's achievement has now surpassed this milestone, placing them just behind Sri Lankan legends Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene's 624-run stand against South Africa in 2006.

Bakle remained unbeaten on 300, while Kauthankar scored an impressive 314 not out. Their efforts led Goa to declare their first innings at a massive total of 727 for 2. In response, Arunachal Pradesh was bowled out for scores of 84 and 92, resulting in Goa's dominant victory by an innings and 551 runs.
This achievement marks only the second time in Ranji Trophy history that two players from the same team have scored triple centuries in one innings. The first instance occurred during the 1989-90 season when Tamil Nadu's WV Raman and AG Kripal Singh both reached this milestone against Goa.
