The third day of the Global T20 Canada 2024 saw thrilling matches at the CAA Centre in Brampton. Bangla Tigers Mississauga secured their first win, while Toronto Nationals continued their winning streak with a second consecutive victory.
Toronto Nationals showcased disciplined bowling to defeat Brampton Wolves by 8 wickets. David Warner's decision to bat first backfired as Jason Behrendorff took two wickets in the first over, leaving the Wolves struggling at 5 for 3.

Romario Shepherd further weakened the Wolves by dismissing George Munsey during the power-play. Despite a 40-run partnership between Beau Webster and Nick Hobson, the Wolves only managed to reach 110 runs.
Junaid Siddiqui led Toronto's bowling attack with three wickets, while Behrendorff and Shepherd claimed two each. Saad Bin Jafar and Roston Chase also contributed with a wicket each.
In response, Toronto Nationals chased down the target efficiently. Unmukt Chand scored an unbeaten 53 off 40 balls, supported by Rassie van der Dussen's 25 runs. Their 79-run partnership ensured a comfortable win despite losing Colin Munro early for 11 runs.
Earlier in the day, Bangla Tigers Mississauga defeated Vancouver Knights by 22 runs to register their first win of the season. The Tigers now have 2 points from two matches, while Vancouver remains winless after two games.
Batting first, Bangla Tigers posted a total of 152/7 in their allotted overs. Captain Shakib Al Hasan led the bowling attack with figures of 3/10, restricting Vancouver to 130/6.

The Vancouver chase faltered as they lost wickets regularly. Usman Khwaja was bowled by David Wiese in the first over, followed by Munir Ahmad being trapped lbw by Shoriful Islam in the next over.
A defiant half-century from Harsh Thaker (79 not out off 67 balls) was Vancouver's only highlight as they struggled throughout their innings.
The third day's matches highlighted impressive performances from both teams. Toronto Nationals' consistent form and Bangla Tigers' all-round effort were key factors in their respective victories.
